Recycling Craft...

T has been begging to recycle things... so in the spirit of re-using we did a craft with an empty glass jar (it previously had jelly in it).  This really didn't take much, just some leftover tissue paper, cut into small random shaped pieces, some glue, and a paint brush.  T decided to turn her finished product into a pencil holder for daddy's desk at work, but it could have also been a flower vase or several other things!  Enjoy!

Cut tissue paper into random sized pieces.

I had her put glue into a glass bowl, add a few tsp
of water to water it down to a paint consistency.

Paint the glue onto the glass, then start layering tissue.

Paint more glue on top of the tissue to help it lay flat against the jar.

Overlap colors fill in gaps.
Our finished masterpiece waiting to dry.

Some Very Hungry Caterpillars

We made some really hungry caterpillars this weekend!  Tons of fun, both kids loved it, and of course we have had to read the book several times since!
